Originally we wanted the video to be black and white because we wanted to stick to the codes and conventions of the singer songwriter genre but then we decided that only the memories should be black and white and the performance should be in darker/dull colours
I also made focused more on the performance than I did the narrative and didn't have the lyrics and visuals linking. I also made conscience decision. - There were a lot of shots of the artist in order to link to goodwin's theory. the narrative between the two lovers wasn't clear enough.

In my second edit I tried to make the narrative more clear so we got more shots of the artist and her lover together but also to make it more clear the artist has died and why/how it happened. I also made the visuals and lyrics link.




Final version of 'Ready for This'

for my final edit I got the lip sync very accurate, compared to previous edits. The narrative became more clear and a sense of romance and friendship came through (interpreted in whichever way people like). I made the performance section heavenly colour so it linked to the death of the artist. I cut the close ups on the artist down a little so that it fit with advertisement to give a sense of the hidden artist - although you can still see artist so the advertisement created a sense of hype.
